Vision

At St John’s, we are committed to providing a high-quality geography education, thereby inspiring our pupils’ natural curiosity and fascination about the world and its people, as well as giving them a solid ‘sense of place’.

Our aim through our bespoke Geography curriculum plan is to see pupils leave our school in Year 6 with a firm contextual knowledge of location, a deep understanding of geographical processes, the competency to use a range of geographical skills, and a keen enthusiasm for the subject.

Long Term Plan 

Children will have three main topics of Geography each academic year including a fieldwork topic. Geographical skills are taught explicitly in this topic and throughout the other two topics.
