Year 1 had a fun filled day at The Blue Planet Aquarium.

We learned a lot of interesting facts about underwater animals in our classroom sessions.

Do you know how many brains a starfish has ? ...... None. 

When a star fish loses its arm, it grows a new one and the discarded arm grows into a whole new starfish! It was amazing when we got to stroke a starfish. It felt squishy and quite rough.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the divers feeding the sting rays and the fish. Walking through the glass tunnel gave us a wonderful up close view of sand tiger sharks, sting rays and many different fish.

We were so tired after a busy day, many of us had a nap on the bus journey back to school.
