Children have been settling into Nursery this half term and learning all about themselves and family through lots of play based activities in the small world area, home area and when painting self portraits and sharing family photographs in our Key Worker groups. We have loved exploring all areas of Nursery and forming relationships with our key person and friends. 

During outdoor play activities, we have been exploring the world around us and the season 'autumn'. Children have loved exploring our woodland area, collecting conkers and autumn leaves to use for different activities such as sorting, counting, collage and investigation. Our story focus this half term was 'Room on the Broom'. We loved inviting our parents into Nursery to show them how well we could retell the story, joining in with the repeated phrases throughout. Nursery had so much fun during this topic, retelling the story using props in our outdoors area, making potions and wands as well as using a variety of materials to paint and collage characters from the story.
