We have been very busy this half term learning all about the season 'spring'. We have made beautiful observational drawings, painting and collages of spring flowers as well as exploring our garden looking for signs of spring. We have loved learning all about growing through the story 'Jack and the Beanstalk', which we can now retell really well! We have learnt all about the different parts of a bean plant and have enjoyed watching our beans grow and change over time. We acted out the story, taking on different character roles, sequencing events in the story and using repeated refrains. In maths we have learnt all about length and have practised using our hands, feet and unifix cubes to measure things.
