We have been learning all about the season winter, observing changes from autumn and identifying signs of winter all around us. We loved exploring ice, floating and sinking and finding out about artic creatures through the story 'Lost and Found'. 

A community police officer and the fire brigade came to visit us and we were able to find out all about their jobs and how they help people. 

Celebrating Chinese New Year was lots of fun! We found out about the origins of the Chinese zodiac and enjoyed making our own Rabbit masks to take home. During the week we explored various Chinese artefacts, which were kindly brought in for us to explore by two of our nursery families.  We loved moving like a dragon during our dragon dance and tried new foods.
