During Advent we prepared for celebrating Jesus' birthday. We planned a party for Teddy's 4th birthday with children writing party invitations, making lists, creating and wrapping gifts, making play dough cakes and having a party. We said Advent prayers for those less fortunate than us as well as people who work hard over the Christmas period.

Children enjoyed lots of Christmas arts and crafts, exploring texture, colour, pattern and shape as well as developing their cutting skills. We had lots of opportunities to mark make through our book focus 'The Jolly Christmas Postman' and loved learning all about post in our role play Post Office. 

We loved our surprise visit from Father Christmas and celebrated the end of term with a parent sing-along and Christmas party.
