Children's University Invite Letter 2024

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Children’s University Graduation Ceremony 2024

Congratulations!  Your child has qualified to graduate from Liverpool Children’s University and we are delighted to invite you to the annual graduation ceremony to celebrate their success.

The ceremony will take place at University of Liverpool, Yoko Ono Lennon Centre, Oxford Street, Liverpool (building number 816, grid reference G4 on the map)

The ceremony itself will take place in the Paul Brett Lecture theatre, when you enter the building from the main entrance, it is on the first floor, there are stairs or a lift for access.

It will begin at 10.15am and we ask that you arrive fifteen minutes before the start of the ceremony and take a seat in the lecture theatre, whilst the children are dressed in their cap and gown.

There is no designated parking at the University, so if you are travelling by car you will need to find somewhere suitable to park and walk across to the building.  There is pay and display on the surrounding roads or Paddington Village MNCP (L7 8SY), Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral (L3 5TQ)

Caps and gowns must be returned at the end of the ceremony. (We suggest that girls do not wear large bows/buns and wear their hair down so their Mortar Board can be worn).

We anticipate the ceremony to last for approximately one hour. Each graduate has been allocated two guests to attend the ceremony.

The children’s graduation is a big achievement for all involved. Following the ceremony there will be time for you to take photographs of your child. Please note that throughout the ceremony, photographs will be taken of the occasion and will be available to purchase after the event. If you do not want your child photographed, please tell school.

There will be the opportunity to purchase keep-sakes ranging from £1-£6 after the ceremony, we will accept card or cash on the day.

We hope you will be able to share this important and very special experience with your child and look forward to seeing you.

Kindest Regards

Liverpool Children’s University
